About Us

Our site opened in May 2007. It is co-owned by Sandy (who lives in the U.S.) and Robyn (who lives in Australia).

Sandy

I wear many hats. I'm a wife, a mom, a mom-in-law, a grandma, a retired postmaster and now a site co-owner. My love for Photoshop came when I retired from the post office. I have been a crafter for all my life and jumped from one craft to another when I became bored. Photoshop has held my interest. I love how much I can create with it. And there is always so much more to learn! I am in this for the sheer joy of creating. I design under the name 'by Sandy'.

My first interest is my family though and I love to scrap pages of them when I can make the time. I'm known for my layouts of my Aryanna who is my favorite subject. Of course, I now have a digital camera, which I didn't have when my own children were growing up. And I'm blessed to have a new grandson who arrived in September 2010.

And of course, I co-own DDD with my good friend Robyn. It keeps us hopping! We are so blessed to have some fantastic designers and members who have become such good friends through the years. That's another hat I wear… friend. I truly treasure the friendships I have made along the way throughout this endeavor!

I live in the small island state of Tasmania which is south of the Australian mainland and I have two daughters and five grandchildren. I have been privileged to have had the love and companionship of seven Irish Setters (sometimes known as Red Setters) over many years, and this is how my Red Dog Designs design name came about. After working in the one place for 28 years, I retired from office administration in 2001.

Unlike Sandy, I have never been a crafter, and up until several years ago, I had never even heard the term 'scrapbooking'. I have been designing since 2007. With co-ownership of the Den I now find that I'm only a part-time designer, but I very much enjoy the challenges of helping to run a site.

Sandy and I met at another site some years back and I was delighted to join my dear friend in co-ownership of the Den in May 2010.
