Hi...I know I have seen a video or read somewhere, that you can take a 12 x 12 template and make it into different sizes, ie 11 x 8.5, or was I just dreaming this.....

Thanxs Bunches for any help you can give!:)

I don't know about any vedio Andera but I do it all the time. Here is what I do.
I take the 12x12 Select all elements and papers in the layout..Do a ctl+t to put the bound box about it. THen I Reduce it to a 8.5.x 8.5
THen I crop it to 8.5 by 11. After that deselect..
FIrst I resize the background papers. Several ways to do that.
Then reposition and adjust elements and picutres in proporation to the page.
Except for the GO Week, I scrap all my personal pages in 8.5x11.
Hope this helps

I can't remember a video either. I just fiddle with it until I get it to fit the A4 size.

I kind of do it like Muriel, except I open a new document 8.5x11. I then select all the layers on the 12x12 and drag them to the 8.5x11 document>Ctrl+T to resize to 8.5. Then I deselect, and continue as Muriel states.

I don't recall a video either.
BUT... I think, I can resize anything.:) to a usuable template.
I do close, to what Muriel does (most of the time)

I create the new document, whatever size.
Then, select all the layers I want to include, and slide them onto the new doc. using the move tool.
ctrl+t for the bounding box, and drag those layers down, until they fit and I like them. And, I always fiddle the individual layers for composition.
Happy to assist with one, if you wish...only need the jpeg, ( do not want to get in the way of anyones psd and tou.....)

Sometimes it's as easy as chopping off one side.

Sometimes it's as simple as squeezing in the sides with the move tool.

Other times you need to resize some of the boxes and elements.

Changing your 12x12 into an 11x11 and then squeezing in one side to 8.5 is another option.

One think I might add that I do is: Once I get the template resized I save it in the same folder with the 12x12...( got to rename thought) Then I have both sizes of template.

Oh, Muriel, I see now what you're doing. You are actually creating a 8.5x11 template! I'm just moving the layers from the 12x12 to a 8.5x11 new layout. It makes sense to actually create a 8.5x11 template. Then you always have it ready for that size! I'm going to have to start doing this! Dah!
