Well, funny you should ask...
I just had 6 pages printed from Scrapping Simply. AND, I am thrilled.
The papers and textures from the kits I used on those 6 pages look just like they do on my monitor! Scrapping Simply has a sister site that prints books. I'm thinking about trying them out.
Also thinking about Persnickety. They have a wonderful reputation as well.
There was a huge write up comparing many print sites. It was done as objectively as one person can do one. Not sure if I can place the linky or not.

I print at home for 8 1/2x11 or smaller. For 12x12, I have been using Shutterfly. But Michi and I have been talking about it over the last several days, and I'm definitely going to change! We don't have a Sam's or CVS closer than 45 miles away..... :(

All my printing is done at home. I'm limited to size 8 1/2 x 11 though. My Photosmart did print 4 x 6 and different size envelopes, but I haven't tried any since the computer and printer driver were updated.

I have all my layouts made into a photobook. Earlier this year I scrapped all the photographs my family had sent me during 2009, (plus my own) and had them made into a 12 x 12 photobook. I now have several photobooks containing my family images and I think it's a beautiful way to preserve your family memories, and also your family history.
It's also very cost-effective when you take into consideration the cost of paper and ink, as I found that the layouts were heavy users of my ink!

I print at home and have used various Epsons over the years - they are my favorite. But a very close second is Canon, which is what I am using now.
Most of my layouts are 12x12, but since I don't have a wide-format printer, I scale them down to a letter-size page and use a coordinating paper or color for the background. Sort of like a "letterbox" effect on a portrait orientation. Then I just slip the page in an archival plastic pocket and put them in a binder that has a plastic window on front so I can personalize the book.

I use PersnickeyPrints.com for all my printing. The quality is awesome and so is the customer service. They ship from the US and also ship internationally.

Epson R1900 large format printer. I use only Epson products with my printer. However, Epson does not make 12x12 semi-gloss. I don't know why. My prints are so good, I am amazed at the quality you can get from a home printer that cost less than $400.
I print at home - on 8.5x11 Epson Semi-Gloss - sized to 8x8. I love the 8x8 size. My photos and text are always large enough to see without the page being over-sized.
8x8 is just perfect to handle, while I think 12x12 is too cumbersome to comfortably page through without setting the book on a table.
I prefer semi-gloss because elements looks more real to me than on glossy.
I have a wide format printer and I have some large paper, but I have never printed a 12x12.
(I bought a large format printer - just in case - it seemed silly to buy a new printer and not have the availability to print larger than letter sized.)

Don't die laughing, but I was replying to this thread, and I typed so long that, when I went to submit, I lost the whole thing because I had to re-sign in!!! I'll shorten this up . . . I totally agree with you on size, 8x8" is so convenient for storage, more cost effective when gift giving an album, etc. I use Winkflash dot com and have always been extremely happy with their quality, options offered, quick service, shipping prices, overall prices, and unlimited storage which never expires and allows you to retrieve your uploaded high resolution images for free if you should ever suffer an unexpected computer crash without your own system of backup. Whew! Lots of reasons I love them. - - Costco also prints for scrappers, and if you don't have one close, you can access them online easily. They have an online photo department you get to from their main website. They are dependable and print up to the 12x12" size.
Printers - - Have owned many and fallen out of love with many over the years. Hubby currently has a new Cannon and the print quality is gorgeous! I have a new Kodak 3250 just for fun, and the print quality is beautiful, and the software has great manipulation options. I will probably get up to owning an Epson one day in the future as all the guru's seem to use them, and I am there mentally but just not financially right yet, but they are on my list for next time!!

Hi Jan, when you log on, check the box which says "remember me" and you will not get logged out. When I am using a public computer I don't do that but here at home, I have remember me checked.
