When I look at the different LO's it seems they are mostly all done by CT's for a designer, advertising the newest kit, and while I undertand the need to advertise. I feel a bit intimidated putting my newbie pages up. Are there any other folks here that scrap just to scrap? We have over 300+ members.. but dont see them posting much.. I'm wondering if they are a bit intimidated too.

oh Trina don't feel intimidated, I think we all scrap to scrap and for some of us we may grow into designing for a DT but that is a sideline.
I'm still scrapping so I can do something with my photographs and use all sorts of kits from various designers. Not just the ones I'm on the DT for; that would be boring and limiting.
Doing the challenges is a great way to get more experience , says she who still feels a novice after 2 ? years of scrapping.
you'll keep on growing in your scrapping skills and we all have/develop our own style, if you are happy with your layouts it's fine, you're making them for you and your prodigy not to impress others.

I am new here Trina, and yes, some of my LO's have been for a Designer, but some are also for the challenges to just scrap, which I love to just do.
That is how I started just scrapping and that is what helped me to grow into a CT person. I still love to just do LO's for just me and show them off. Please post them, we all love to look and get idea's from what others are doing.

Please do not feel intimidated to post any of your pages! There are many styles of digital scrapbooking, from a traditional paper scrap look to a way out there fantasy style. The longer you scrap, you may find that your style changes and evolves more. You learn new techniques, you see ideas from others you wish to incorporate.
People scrap for many different reasons.
Even when I did CT work, (for many designers, plus 2 sites) I still made sure whatever I created with the kit was going to be a meaningful page for me.
Sooner or later, all my pages get printed. I just wish I moved alittle quicker.
The den is a very loving community--continue to share with us.
and always remember...if your page works for you, then its right.

Trina, as the others have said--don't feel intimidated! We were all newbies once and just taking the initiative to post is a big step.

ME! I'm not a CT and I just scrap to scrap. I do pages that will be put into books for my family and friends, but I also do pages just for the fun of it and the learning that comes with it since the challenges often push me to try a new technique.
We have over 300+ members.. but dont see them posting much.. I'm wondering if they are a bit intimidated too.
My guess would be that a few might be intimidated, that many are members of lots of different sites but are lurkers or only occasionally post at them.
Continue to scrap and post and enjoy the Den. I wish all of our 300+ members would post, I love seeing all of the creativity in the gallery!

Trina, I love to look through the gallery and see the wonderful creations by all, new and old ( no pun here girls) digiscrapers. What you see and learn from EVERYONES work is just awesome. I leave comments as often as I can, but don't always have the extra time. :)

I'm not a CT. I just scrap for fun. Maybe what you are seeing are the credits we post with each layout showing what DDD kit or other embellishments we used for our layout. We do that as a courtesy to the designer, but we are not all CTs.

Trina....I started posting just because I wanted to scrap! And then I got "hooked"....and I bet the same thing happens to you. And...as so many have already pointed out, we were all new once. I have never seen one bad or snide thing said about a new scrapper. And everyone is so willing to help. I do hope that you will continue to scrap and post...and ask quesions when you need to! We love all our posters here....new, not-so-new, and in between! smilie-love029
