seeing Marcies two monitors I'm beginning to wonder how that works

does 1 mouse direct both screens? and can you drag an item from one screen into the other?

Ellen, I've had two monitors for some time............I LOVE it.

You can set the monitors up however you want them to work. Yes, I drag from one screen to another.

I can use two monitors, but I never do because I've had so many problems with my Dell computer. Anyway, you have to go to the Control Panel>Display to set up your two monitors.

I 'can' use 2 monitors, as I have the computer connections that say so.
My friend has 2 and she just drags like 'we with one' do using the move tool. Workds super.
I'm hoping Santa reads my letter.

Oh those Santa letters are geting out arleady, are they? (drats no hohoho smilie so this will have to do... :D

I thought it would be hard with two monitors, but I've found it is really easy. If I have cs open on the big screen, I have acdsee open on the little one. THen I can just see what I need and go back and forth. It is similar to one monitor, but the added benefit is I can see both at the same time. I found I really like using it for my banking. I have the bank's account open and my checkbook (which I have in Quicken) and I can easily see what I'm missing (usually the cause of hubby not giving me a reciept). I used to write it down on a piece of paper and well now I'm saving trees. :rofl2::rofl2:

I have also asked Santa for another monitor. I got to use 2 while visiting my daughter at her office. WoooHooo!! I can see all kinds of possibilities. Hubby says we have to wait till DSIL comes to hook it up. DSIL is the reining family guru. My other DD used to be. Hubby said our Help button dialed her number! :) We've learned alot from our kids!!!

I learnt a lot from my son until he started using work computers where he had an IT department. After going through the "try . . ." "I'll ask the IT chap" he started saying "Oh Mother you know more than I do, just start thinking laterally!" He made me stand on my own two feet and I have remembered more that way.

I use 2 and could never go back to one for designing...it's the bestest...Like Marcie I have all my necessary bits (picassa), cu supplies and inspiration on my smaller old one and use my main one for working on...and if you like to do tutorials it's great too coz I have the tutorial open on the small one and practise on the big one. Worse part about having 2 at home is that I'm restricted to one at work and too make things worse it's only a 15in and sooo small..I have to resize all my windows to make em fit :)
