Sketch Challenge March 25, 2011

Hi Everyone!

I wanted to take a moment to say how much I am enjoying your beautiful creations using the templates. It's quite inspirational to see how one sketch can be used in so many ways! For those of you who have never tried a sketch, give it a try this time - you'll be surprised how it can spark those creative juices and give you a starting point for your layout. Take it, tweak it, turn it, rotate it, add more things, subtract some things - it's all for YOU!

This sketch this week is relatively simple, one that I have always enjoyed working with and I hope you do, too. This is a two page spread. The download, which is available HERE (http://www.4shared.com/file/j_tv_d53/Sketch032511.html) contains both halves separately and a combination of the two so you can use them however you prefer. Enjoy!

My layout shown here is actually done with paper and scissors, yes, the old fashioned way! I am looking forward to seeing what you do with this template.

On another note - I am going to be handing over the sketch challenge to our wonderful co owner Robyn. You are going to have a wonderful time with Robyn's creative and wonderful sketch ideas.

As many of you know, the magazine, Papers and Pixels, is taking up more and more of my time and I am unable to keep up with the bi monthly sketch challenge here at the Den. I will, however, do my best to check in, to play in the challenge, and certainly to look at all your beautiful layouts and leave a bit of love.

Thank you all so much for sharing this fun challenge with me since the re-beginning of the Den. I thank you for all the lovely comments and for being such wonderful digi friends.

When I downloaded the sketch, I was suprised to see how small the file was - figured it was a complex sketch, but it isn't. Looking forward to trying this out. I always take multiple photos of stuff - should be able to find something to fill all those squares. ;)
