Mix and Match!

I got the idea for this challenge from tailz (Lesley). Turns out, it is one of my favorites, 'cause it is never the same twice. Thanks, Lesely for allowing us to use this!

The way this works is pretty simple:

Here's how the challenge works. You use your date of birth and age to find the elements for your page. My date of birth is 03/16/1950, and I'm 60. Add each set of numerals until you have a single digit.
This is what mine is:
Month (0+3) = 3
Day (1+6) = 7
Year (1+9+5+0)=15 (1+5) = 6
Age (6+0) = 6
There are four categories: (my items are in bold)
Month = Subject Pet
Day = Title Only 1 Word
Year = Element Flower(s)
Age = Paper Grungy

Usually after you get the '10' you go: 1+0 = 1, and 1 is the number used.

Andrea....this has been answered, but I wanted to answer again for the benefit of anyone else who may be confused. Since your date is 28, add the 2+8=10, then add again, 1+0=1. At the end, you will want a single number in order to choose from the lists.

I love this type of challenge because everyone has different criteria, and the criteria changes every month. Mine is: City, Word Art, Torn Paper, Solid Paper.

I created a two-page spread; the first page meeting the criteria.

I think this means your Theme is to be about Color. That leaves things pretty wide open for you.

Here's mine! Whew! I kept tweeking this thing and finally just gave up! My Theme is Birthstone, Title--Wild Card (I took that to mean my choice) Element--2 tags and Age-Stripes. I made the stripes and gave them a "jewel" style. I also made the jewels that I put on Vicki's flourish. That's a florish she made for the old Den... you need to do more Vicki! The rest of the stuff is posted in the gallery.

This challenge made me work! My month was 3 - theme, city; the day was 1 - title, BIG; the year is 4 - element, 2 tags; and my age was 8 - paper, dark. I don't use many elements in my layouts and hardly ever use dark paper for background, so this was a stretch.

at last , I still didn't find the photo till this morning when I had finished the layout.(but I had used one from mr. google. mine was the landscape and I needed portrait.)

I didn't have any tartan paper so scanned Tom's kilt ( which is the Robertson tartan)

I ended up with Pet; Wild Card; Ribbon and Dots. The only pets I have now are goldfish and I they are camera shy [giggling]; so I found photos of our last dog Gypsy.

At our last house we had a very large water feature which needed cleaning every year. Gypsy was always right there checking things out and by the end of the day, she was grey instead of white!!
