text in PSE

This should not be that complicated, but I just can't fix it :eek:

I did underlining with my text, now I can't get it to stop underlining everything I type!!

I have clicked the underline button, and I also reset tools, closed and opened the program.

What else can I do to fix this?

Are you trying to continue to type in the same text box where you had underlining?

Type some letters and then select them with your mouse. Click on the underscore T and the underlining should go away. Type more letters and tell us what happens.

You should be able to highlight the text you don't want underlined and then tap the T to turn off the underscore. It shouldn't matter whether you are in the same text box or not. Let us know how you get on.

Of course not Karen. But if the text is already underlined, pressing underscore will turn it off. I'm trying to diagnose what is happening.

Yes, that is right Vicki. I am sure that should work for all versions of PSE. I don't have PSE6 on any computer now, so I can't check it in that version.

It was even underlining when I started new LO's ???

Now it is gone :confused: little bugger didn't let me know what I did to make it go away though! laughter1 Program just wanted control!
