Thank you Karen, when we make it over there again, I will let you know. Next year is pretty well planned and WA is not on the itinerary (but our plans are sometimes set in quicksand not concrete). Robyn you will love it I am sure. Just make sure you have Telstra internet, works best in most places. LOL. IF I recall correctly, you are in Tasmania Robyn? If so, we are heading down your way for three months from end of January 2011.

Thank you everyone for your great greetings.

Hi Jody, yes I'm in Tasmania. Telstra is my internet provider. How do you have internet in a motorhome? You can see I know NOTHING at this stage!!!

Hi again Robyn,

There are a couple of ways you can get internet in your motorhome (we have a caravan). You can use BigPond wireless on your laptop or like me you can use Telstra Data Pack on your laptop. I started with the Telstra Data Pack years ago and have never bothered to change, if it is not broken, dont try to change it is my motto.

I have a patch lead that connects to a BIG aerial to boost reception in bad areas, of course there are many many places in Australia where it would not matter how tall the aerial is, you wont get a thing. I guess it depends on where you travel.

What's a data pack?

You say it depends on where we travel. I've got a laugh at this because my family reckons we won't get past the front gate. My husband is great at collecting 'toys' and never using them. You wouldn't believe how many boats, cars, trailers etc. etc. that we have!!!!.........sore point in this household!

We flight over to Melbourne and collect the motorhome from Geelong next Wednesday. Bring it back across Bass Strait on Wednesday night.

Jody! Welcome to the Den....and welcome to another Aussie! We (as you already know) have several of your countrywomen here already....and I am so happy to welcome yet another! I can't wait to see some of your layouts in the gallery.

Robyn gave me a chuckle with her comment about toys bought and not used....my sweet late husband was just the same. So now I have a great many of his toys and I'm not entirely sure what to do with them....or even what some them are for!
