A Fan of DDD button or blinkie for your blog!

Janice suggested having a button for members' blogs so they can link to the site.

Here is a quick one. I'll make a blinkie too when I get some time if you would like.

Robyn.. I see the blinky works for you. I made a little blinky for my posts and the site says it won't upload the blinky. Not that is was so great but it was a fun challenge. I just knew there must be some way in photoshop to do it. Love learning new tricks. Thanks for the inspiration.

The blinkie I made was just a simple one made in Photoshop and saved as a gif. You should be able to upload a gif.

I'm sorry Muriel. I've been away for a couple of days and my head not where it was, I need to re focus. I thought you meant that you were trying to upload to the gallery.
If you want to put a blinkie in your signature, upload it to a site like Photobucket and then copy the direct link. Then go into 'edit signature' and 'insert image' and paste in that link. Or alternatively, you could upload it to your gallery here and copy it from there. If you deleted it from either place, it wouldn't show up in your signature any more though because the link would be broken. Is this what you were wanting to do?

Yes Robyn ....I wondered about that..I tried uploading to the gallery but then it didn't work. Hmmm. What is Photobucket...I do have a site at shutterfly...would that work?

Ok I am quite confused not by you instructions as they were clear...I posted the blinkie on photobucket. First off it doesn't play there correctly. It has added another "this" when it was not supposed to..
I went and brought the working file up and PS and checked to make sure I had not left that checked for the frame...It was not there.

Then when I try to load here it just shows the address. .

Hi Muriel ..

In Photobucket, look the code provided for your image, and copy the one called "Image Code" It will start [IMG

Then just paste that right into your signature. When you look at the "preview" of your signature, you should see your blinkie.

Let us know how it goes.

Just copy the direct link and paste it into the box that comes up when you click on insert image. I think you may need to make it a little smaller for your signature though?? It's VERY cute.

......as a guidelines for size the foundation members buttons I have made are 150 x 50.

Hmmm in photo bucket it is not so big it is the right size... I will go check the size .

Your current size is 675 x 225. I think it will show up small in Photobucket no matter what the actual size is. My Red Dog tag in my signature is 300 x 98.

Just to let you know, Muriel and all....you can also host images at Flickr....and I find that it is more dependable than Photobucket. The directions are essentially the same as for Photobucket, though. I host all my images there....

LanaSue...I've been looking through the help files and I haven't come across anything that tells about adding blinkies and things to your profile. You can add a blinkie to your profile pictures or to your album with a link to the Den, but that is as close as I have been able to come. Does this help?
