Crazy Creative Clusters - July

I've dreamed up a challenge with a difference for you! This should get your creative juices flowing.

I've uploaded 17 extremely mismatched elements (from old kits of mine) and the idea is for you to create a cluster, or a cluster frame or corner using some or all of these elements and perhaps a paper/s of your own if you are doing a frame or corner.

You can cut, paste, copy, trim, warp, recolour, texturize, twist, rotate, shrink, enlarge .........what every you want to do with these elements..........you are limited only by your imagination!

You can find the download for the elements under the gallery picture. The frame which I have created using some of the elements is also in the download.

I'm hoping that you will find this a creative and interesting idea which will perhaps challenge you to think outside the square! Most of all HAVE FUN WITH IT!

No rewards for participating, just the fun of it all. You do get the elements and my frame though. Perhaps if enough of you particpate you may want to exchange your creations??

Sandy, it's not easy to combine so many elements as you did in your beautiful cluster! The combination of colors and placement of elements are wonderful.

I'm loving these great clusters. It does make you think 'outside the square' when you are presented with such a mismatched lot of elements. I'm really enjoying it myself.

Well, I opened the file and I'm flummoxed. This is going to take a little more creative genius than I think I have. :eek: It's hard when you think so "inside the box" :o You certainly have given us quite a challenge with the diversity of elements.

I agree they are so addictive. I find it fun to try and create different things out of the same given elements. It really makes you think and develop skills too.

I'll be running a different challenge in August.........probably a colour challenge where we can make a small mini kit from a given colour palette. We could share those too if you like. What do you think?

Robyn, sounds like a good plan to me.

For the color challenge, can we use CU items such as brushes, textures, overlays, actions, etc. or should we create items without using CU items?

I can't see a problem with using CU items if you wish. I think it would be up to each individual member. Anyway, at the beginning of the month I'll post the colour palette and the rules/guidelines for the challenge.

A color challenge sounds like fun - I have seen them but have never participated before, so it will be interesting for me;)! In others I've seen, there has been a choice to either make a mini kit or just do a layout using that color palette. Will this be strictly to do a minikit? (which is fine and those are great for sharing).
